Wedding Cake Design & PricingAnnabelle’s Wedding Cakes are all handmade, fresh and unique. As a professional wedding cake baker and decorator, I never duplicate a design “exactly.” While I can provide a bride with a similar look that she is after, it is important to note that what makes a cake special is one that shines all on its own! I rarely make the same “exact” cake twice so your wedding cake will be truly unique. Feel free to provide me with images of designs that you like and, together, we will come up with a cake design just for you!
Wedding cakes are priced by the slice. Buttercream-iced cakes start at $4.00/serving unfilled -- Filled $4.50/serving. Fondant covered cakes (porcelain-smooth finish) start at $4.75/serving unfilled - Filled $5.25. Prices increase from here based on the intricacy of your design. Wedding Cake Serving Sizes are based on 1” x 2” pieces, with the standard height of the cake at approximately 3.5”. 5" Round 2-layer Cake Serves 8 6” Round 2-layer Cake Serves 10 7” Round 2-layer Cake Serves 15 8" Round 2-layer Cake Serves 24 9” Round 2-layer Cake Serves 32 10" Round 2-layer Cake Serves 38 11" Round 2-layer Cake Serves 46 12” Round 2-layer Cake Serves 54 13" Round 2-layer Cake Serves 64 14” Round 2-layer Cake Serves 78 16” Round 2-layer Cake Serves 92 *Please note that Annabelle always ices fondant-covered cakes most often with a thick layer of buttercream first before putting the fondant on the cakes. Your guests may peel off the fondant if they do not like the texture/taste of the fondant, but Annabelle has been told that her fondant not only looks good, but tastes wonderful. An alternative to Fondant is a Rolled Buttercream, which looks quite similar to Fondant, whereas it does provide a smooth finish. Faux Cakes (dummy cakes) are about the same price of a real cake as the Styrofoam dummy costs the same (and sometimes even more than) what a real cake's ingredients cost. You can choose this option as a way to save money, or to make your cake look larger! Please contact Annabelle to discuss pricing for Faux cakes.
