The Regina Italian Sesame Cookie is another very traditional Italian cookie that was born in the region of Sicily. Named “Regina” (queen) in honor of Regina Margherita di Savoia who was the second and much beloved queen of a United Italy, it is similar to the Sicilian Sesame Seed Cookie in texture. However, the Regina cookie provides you with delicious vanilla flavoring throughout, versus the Anise/Orange flavor of the Sicilian Sesame Seed Cookie. It is also finger shaped. Crunchy on the outside, but slightly softer in the middle, these Italian Regina cookies are sure to delight you with each bite!
